This half-day combination tour includes the following top activities and sights in Oxford, to be seen in 5-6 hours. You can start either from 10 am (default start time) or you can request, when booking, to start from 1 pm.

Enjoy either a bicycle trip along the Thames or join a Thames river cruise. Escape the city to see local scenic views! Mad Hatter Alice themed picnic lunch or afternoon tea is included free in a special setting! Walking tour of Oxford city & University with special focus on children's interests.

Ticket to visit inside Christchurch College (worth £9 per adult ticket)*- a Harry Potter film site & the home of 'Alice'! Normal expected duration will be starting from 10 am and finishing at approximately 2 pm or later.

Alternatively, starting at 1 pm and finishing at about 5 pm or 6 pm. *Christchurch is Oxford's busiest tourist attraction, but tickets are pre-booked to escape the queues. This is why this activity requires 24 hours' advance notice to book it!

PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME:

Please arrive 5 minutes early for your tour at our meeting point. If you arrive more than 5 minutes later than the scheduled tour, then you will likely forfeit and lose your booking, as it interrupts the guide and other customers, if we are trying to find you after a guide has started and left the meeting point.

INFO FOR DRIVERS AND PARKING:

If you are driving, then please allow an extra 30-60 minutes over whatever time you think it will take you to get here. Oxford is NOT car-friendly and it has congested roads and hard to find parking spaces....unless you park at the sign-posted 'park and rides' on the edge of town on any major road into the city and hop on their buses into the city centre.

The park and ride buses leave every 15 or every 30 minutes and take anything from 10 minutes to 30 minutes (depending on traffic) to reach the city centre. So, if you are going to drive, then please assume you should be aiming to park your car about one hour before your tour starts.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: We recommend instead using the much faster and reliable train services, but again, please aim to arrive about an hour or earlier before your tour starts, as trains can be delayed, and the train and coach station are about 15 15-minute walk from our meeting point.

There is also the coach service from London called the Oxford Tube, which leaves every half hour or more, but it can take much longer than its advertised 105-minute journey time. It drops you off either at High Street Oxford or Gloucester Green coach station. It's quicker to ask to get off on High Street near Carfax Tower, then it's a 10-minute walk to Broad Street.

Please advise of any specific dietary requirements at the time of booking. A minimum number of participants per booking is required- namely, 2 adults and 1 child. Wheelchair accessible, please advise at the time of booking if wheelchair assistance is required. Availability for shows cannot be checked without making a booking.

Credit cards will only be charged upon confirmation of show availability. If you choose cycling, your height MUST be advised at the time of booking.

Departure Point: Meet the guide OUTSIDE the Oxford Visitor Information Centre in central Oxford

Departure Time: 10 am (finishing at approximately 4 pm) or 1 pm (finishing at approximately 6 pm or later). When booking, please note that the default start time is 10 am. If you prefer to start at 1 pm, please make this known when you book.

Please also note that if you request to join the river cruise, these do not generally operate from approximately the end of October until the middle of March. Therefore, the option of booking a place on a cruise may be limited during these months, and will vary by how early or late the seasons may change.

Return Details: The end location will depend on whether or not you opt for the bike trip or a river cruise. Either way, the guide will advise you of directions and provide you with a free map of Oxford
