The best of British food
This eclectic tour through London’s street food scene is guaranteed to challenge your
perceptions of British food. It begins in Borough Market, loved amongst foodies and a
cultural hub but relatively unknown by tourists and where you will be able to explore the
savoury and sweet treats on offer. There’s also time to indulge in a British classic,
fish and chips, from one of the city’s best-loved spots.
As well as trying snacks such as English fudge and cakes and lovingly-made Cumberland
sausages from a 150 year-old recipe, there's also the chance to taste the following:
Home baked breads
Famous British cheeses served with grapes, fig cake, crackers and chutneys
Real ales, beers or ciders (or non-alcoholic option)
Refreshing pot of tea (earl grey, green or English breakfast)
Delicious desserts such as cheesecakes, chocolate brownies or sticky toffee puddings
Bottle of water
A mystery secret dish
London Bridge’s cultural secrets
The tour continues around the London Bridge area, with a chance to try real ales, ciders
and beers, a choice of English teas and famous cheeses served with a range of
accompaniments.
Your guide will tell you stories from this historic area of London, with its unique
culture, a mix of local residents and the overspill of the financial district, the Square
Mile. You’ll pick up tips on the best places to visit and see sights along the Thames
including world-famous Tower Bridge and the battleship HMS Belfast.
Try the secret dish - only revealed during the tour - and wash everything down with real
ale, beer or cider in traditional British style.
